Easy Banana “Ice Cream”

What do you do with your brown bananas?  Banana bread and banana pudding tend to be the old standby recipes, but if you’d like something different, give this nifty “ice cream” recipe a try:

  • Freeze the overly ripe bananas until you’re ready to use them.
  • Blend frozen bananas.
  • Serve.

Yes, it’s that easy!  The frozen bananas make an easy, nutritious ice cream treat that have no added ingredients.  If it’s not sweet enough, just add some honey to it.

    • Isn’t it wonderful? A sweet treat that helps keep grocery money from being wasted! Another tip–add other fruits (frozen or fresh) and some milk (whatever kind you like) and you have an easy fruit smoothie. …for a fraction of what you would pay at a smoothie shop.
